As we grow older, our skin starts to wrinkle and we develop dark spots all around the skin. Our skin are delicate and if we don't look after it properly, the skin will deteriorate. There are literally thousands of products on the market that claim it can remove wrinkles permanently.

If we want to have perfect and youthful skin as we grow older, we must do the following:

1. Stay out of the sun.

The sun produces powerful ultraviolet rays that can destroy our skin cells. If you live in a hot and sunny climate like Australia, it can burn your skin within 15 minutes. Therefore, make sure you always wear sun cream and clothing that covers your skin. If you go out swimming, apply sunscreen that is waterproof.

2. Stop smoking immediately.

Smoking contains hundreds of toxic materials. If you know anyone that is a chronic smoker, you will find that most of them usually have dry and wrinkly skin. Also, they usually look older than their age. Scientists have proven that smoking is one of the leading cause of cancer in the body. If you want to look young and healthy, stop smoking now! Furthermore, you can save a lot of money if you stop smoking.

3. Eat healthy foods.

Avoid eating lots of junk food like KFC or McDonalds. Most of the chicken and burgers are high in saturated fat and sugar. These foods will cause your arteries to clog up and you eventually will develop cardiovascular disease. Instead, eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. They contain copious amount of complex carbohydrates and sugars. In addition, these foods contain an abundance amounts of anti-oxidants that will help break down toxins and prevent cancers.

4. Drink plenty of fluids.

It is recommended by the Australian health foundation that you should drink at least two to three litres of water a day. However, you should avoiding consuming liquids that are high in sugar like Coca Cola or Pepsi. Water will keep your skin hydrated and therefore more elastic.

5. Exercise at least three times a week.

You should perform at least twenty minutes of consistent exercise. It doesn't have to be a strenuous activity like running on the beach. It can be simple as walking around your neighbourhood or inside your house. The more you do it, the better you will feel. Exercise will help increase blood flow to your skin and remove any toxins from your skin.
